Interpreter qualifications and
screening process
Interpreters are assessed on language proficiency in the target and source languages (e.g., English< >Spanish), medical terminology, and general terminology.
Candidates are evaluated on interpreting guidelines, protocols, terminology, and soft skills during assessments.
All ASL interpreters hold National Certification with the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf.
The Quality Assurance Team conducts monthly silent monitoring reviews, and specialized coaching sessions and additional resources are provided.
